安岳石刻上承云岡、龍門，下啟大足，縣境內(nèi)石窟造像遺址星羅密布，早在一千多年以前的南北朝時期，充滿智慧的安岳人就開始了這項鬼斧神工，在唐宋時期更是達到了最繁盛的地步。“古、多、精、美”是安岳石刻最大的特點，而一些獨具代表性的造像，融以了當?shù)氐胤叫?、世俗化的色彩，生動地折射出了千百年前民間文化的“真實面容”。

The Anyue Stone Carvings bearing Longmen and Dazu.There are many grotto statue sites in here.More than a thousand years ago,intelligent Chinese ancient people of the Southern and Northern of Song Dynasties has began this craftsmanship,and reached its peak in the Tang and Song dynasties.
